Whilst SmartKem is content to supply small to medium size quantities of organic semiconductor materials the company's principle commercial strategy is licensing.
SmartKem is prepared to negotiate license agreements that cover key areas of know-how and Intellectual Property including;
- Novel OSC molecule design,synthesis and purification
- Novel polymer design, synthesis and purification to compliment the OSC within the ink formulation
- Novel ink formulations and customisation to device specific TFT processing methods and end application
- Valuable know-how relating to compatible materials and treatments, essential for the production of high performance organic TFT's
All of the key areas of know-how and IP relate to solution processing at low temperatures in air. Furthermore the OSC technology has been specifically developed for ultra-thin and flexible films.
